GOOD THINGS LIST: JANUARY

GOOD THINGS LIST: JANUARY

So here we are, in the very end of the first month of 2019. It’s surreal how fast the days go by, and that’s why I find it super important to appreciate each and every moment. No matter what happens to you, it is necessary to remember that there are always good things in life, and we should not allow the dark moments overweight the fun and exciting ones. January has been intence: so many important things happened during these 31 days, and they left me in a pretty exhausted state. But all in all, it has been kind to me.

HOW I ORGANISE MY LIFE: STATIONERY AND USEFUL APPS

HOW I ORGANISE MY LIFE: STATIONERY AND USEFUL APPS

The beginning of the year is such a great time to get organised. Don’t we all want to perform better than we did before, achieve more, do more? I am not very good with long-term planning and I don’t really get how people manage to schedule and write down everything for the upcoming 5, 7, or 10 years. One year or even half a year is my max.

Today, I am going to break down how I organise my life and to-do’s with the help of my planner, and how it keeps me on track of everything.

GOOD THINGS LIST: DECEMBER

GOOD THINGS LIST: DECEMBER

Wanted to begin this post with “Can you believe it’s my last Good Things List of the year? Me neither!” but realised it’s only my second one this year. And, to be fair, the last one. But for now, let’s dive in.

RUSSIAN AND BELGIAN CHRISTMAS: 5 DIFFERENCES

RUSSIAN AND BELGIAN CHRISTMAS: 5 DIFFERENCES

Why I don't celebrate Christmas on 25th of December

I am blessed to have two homes: in Moscow and in Antwerp. Moscow is the place where I was born and grew up , and it will always be in my heart. Antwerp though is where the heart is: Rabin, my husband, is a Belgian citizen, and we’ve been living here in A-town since September. As Belgium is my home base now, I can’t help but notice the many differences there are between the cultures of our two countries.

GOOD THINGS LIST: NOVEMBER

GOOD THINGS LIST: NOVEMBER

Sometimes life abroad can make you feel sluggish. No friends, no job, you’re basically nobody to the new society. This is why I decided to revive my old rubric, Good Things of the month. The main idea is to teach your brain to focus more on the good and positive things in life. They might be as small as a pizza+Netflix kinda evening or as big as getting a raise. The more you notice the great, the happier you will be and the more pleasant surprises you will get from Life. Or the Universe. Or the Higher Power. However you prefer to call “it”. In this List I will write about 5-10 things that made me happy each and every month. So that before the next one comes, I will re-read everything, realise how cool the previous one was and on this wave of happy thoughts and feeling of achievement slide into the next 30 days.

Here is my list for November 2018.
